Description:

Abstract: This dataset outlines the Territorial Sea Boundary for the state of Oregon. It is based on the Evironmental Sensitivity Index (ESI) shoreline for the state.
Purpose:
To provide a version of the Oregon Territorial Sea Polygon that has a shoreline coincident with the older ESI shoreline, so that calculations based on that shoreline are comparable to calculations based on this polygon.
Supplemental Information:
The Oregon ESI shoreline dates to the mid-1980's. The line was digitized to provide an framework for attaching environmental data for oil spill planning and response. The data attached to this shoreline model was used in the Oregon Territorial Sea Planning process.
