Abstract: This data represesntss the locations of submarine cables that make landing ont he Oregon coast.
Purpose:
This data represents the locations of underwater cables that make a landing on the Oregon coast. These cables are usesd in telecommunication, research, and power. They were compiled by the Oregon Fishermens Cable Committee, in agreement with cable operators, delineate cable routes and avoid space use conflicts between cables and trawl fishermen. The data were also used in Oregon's Territorial Sea Planning process to understand where conflict between submarine cables and wave energy devices might occur.
