Abstract:
Locations of all known existing and historical seabird colonies on the Oregon Coast, as mapped and quantified by the United States Fish and Wildlife Service. Relative ecological importance of the colonies was assigned based criteria specified below. Breakdown of colony importance was Priority 1: 55 of 324 colonies/complexes (17%) , Priority 2: 159 of 324 colonies/complexes (49%), and Priority 3: 110 of 324 colonies/complexes (34%)
Purpose: To create an updateable atlas for monitoring trends of seabird colonies, and assign relative ecological importance for informing Oregon's Marine Spatial Planning process.
