Abstract:
This layer consists of a planning unit grid for the marine and coastal waters of Oregon. The planning unit grid was generated by subsetting the Minerals Management Service planning grid, to create a planning grid of 1 mile blocks (approximately).
Purpose:
The layer was designed to fit into the current regulatory framework for offshore areas of Oregon's exclusive economic zone, specifically covering the continental shelf and slope of Oregon. The layer is to be used in the marine spatial planning process for amending Oregon's Territorial Sea Plan.
