Description:

Abstract:
A point layer representing transect centroids of NMFS and ODFW fish survey trawl locations. The shapefile includes only the survey trawl start locations and the grid_ID field used to assign modeled attributes of various metrics (abundance, diversity, richness) for fish species found off Oregon and neighboring states. No attribute data are included in this version.
Purpose:
To develop fishery-independent data for fish species in order to model fish biomass, diversity, and species richness coastwide for Oregon to assist in marine spatial planning and revisions to the Territoral Sea Plan.
Supplemental Information: NOAA Biogeography Branch (Charlie Menza and Chris Caldow) assisted ODFW in its effort to develop fishery-independent species data for marine spatial planning (TSP development) in Fall 2011.
